A FEW RECIPES
PUNCH
1 pkg. Cherry Kool-Aid
1 pkg. Raspberry, or another Cherry Kool-Aid
2 cups sugar
2 qts. water
1 46 oz. unsweetned Pineapple juice
1 qt. ginger ale
Mix Kool-Aid, sugar and water, stir well.
Add the juice and cool, just before serving, add ginger ale.
We like to make a sluch by mixing it all together and placing
it in the freezer for several hours, stirring every couple hours.

HOT COCOA MIX
7 cups nonfat dry milk
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix together, by sifting several times.
For one cup of cocoa, put 1/3 cup of mixture into a cup, add
enough water to make a paste. Fill the cup with boiling water,
stirring constantly.

CRACKER SPREAD
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
blend in 1 Tab. dill weed and a little garlic salt or powder
Add 1 cup of a varity of finely chopped vegetables.
Serve on snack crackers

BROCCOLI CAULIFLOWER SALAD
2 heads of cauliflower broken up
1 bunch broccoli, broken up
2 boxes of frozen peas
1 12 oz. container sour cream or 2 cups
4 cups mayonaise
1 & 1/2 Tab. garlic salt.
2 Tab. dill weed
6 green onions {chopped}
Mix together and let set at least 3 hours, or can be
made the night before using.This makes a large salad.

ORANGE JELLO SALAD
Make a box of orange jello according to directions
and when almost set, add grated cabbage and carrots.

SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic minced
1 med. onion chopped
2-6oz. cans tomato paste
3 cups water
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
Cook beef lightly, drain fat, add
onion and garlic. Cook until soft.
Stir in paste and add water
and seasonings. Simmer uncovered 1 hour.
Serve on cooked spaghetti, or use for lasagne.

BURRITOS
Refried beans
Tortillas
Green Chile
Chopped: lettuce, tomato, and onion
Grated Cheese
FLOUR TORTILLAS
Mix 4 cups flour, 4 Tbs. lard or shortening
2 tsp. salt. Add water until stiff dough.
Roll small pieces of dough as thin as possible.
Cook on griddle, {no fat}. until light brown.
GREEN CHILI
2-4 pork chops {cubed}
1 med.onion
salt & pepper to taste
Brown in skillet and add 1 can green chili peppers,
1 qt. whole tomatoes. Simmer about 30 -60 minutes.
Place tortilla on plate and add the sauce,
beans, grated cheese, onion, tomato and lettuce.

VINIGER PIE
3 Tab. viniger
4 Tab. flour
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup boiling water
1 Tab. butter
Mix flour with 1/2 the sugar,
add water and cook in double boiler
for 15 minutes, stirring often. Add rest of
sugar and beaten egg yolk, {beaten together}.
Cook a few minutes more. Add butter
and viniger and cook 2 minutes more.
Cool and pour into a baked pie shell.
Make a meringue of the 2 egg whites and
4 Tab. sugar and 1/4 tsp. cream of tarter.
Spread on the pie and bake in a 350 degree
oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

NO BAKE COOKIES
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
4 Tab. cocoa
Mix together and bring to full boil.
Remove from heat and stir in
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oatmeal and
1 tsp. vanilla.
Nuts and / or coconut may be added.
Drop on cookie sheet and chill.
Makes about 40 cookies
